Well it is your opinion my friend and I personally understand it, yet I cannot agree. You see Vegeta was not completly stomped by Reccome. He had a few good shots, even when Ginyu force member started to be serious. Problem with Reccome is the same as with Nappa. He is a typical tank, who at his level of power is able to dwarf everyone with his durablity. It is like with Nappa, who while he was so much weaker than Goku, still was able to take a lot of hits from him. Vegeta was able to make a good combo on Reccme, then hit him with few ki blasts, and blast of his face. Yeah it didn't make a lot of harm on Reccome yet still he was able to fight back. For me Reccome is at the range from 37 000 to 40 000.
